Crop protection and access to EAMUs for protected crops is core to our businesses, so it is essential that we continue to support the work done by HCP that helps us gain access to these.

The Cucumber & Pepper Growers’ Association are a founding member of Horticulture Crop Protection Ltd (HCP), which has successfully taken on the continuation of the EAMU crop protection service following the wind down of AHDB Horticulture. The organisation is funded by a voluntary levy which pays for the expertise and admin for EAMU and Emergency Approval applications for plant protection products (both chemical and biologicals) to keep the industry in the best possible position for successful crop production. HCP have been have been successfully delivering this service for the industry for over a year now.

The CPGA is committed to supporting the service and has regular interactions with their technical team to ensure that cucumber and pepper crop protection needs are known and prioritised appropriately.
